Here comes a rant you guys:

Let me get this straight, you are judging them by the way they compose their music? I’m sorry, but I’m pretty sure that’s not even close to a good enough reason to hate them. That would be like me going, ‘I hate My Chemical Romance’ because I don’t enjoy their music. I don’t hate them, it’s just that they obviously have a different style in music that I don’t find pleasing to myself. It’s really a simple opinion and yours isn’t superior to anyone else, but when you say my fucking favorite bands sucks, then we are going to have a problem. They didn’t save my life because of lyrics written about republicans, they saved my life because their lyrics come from the heart telling you that you are not alone, that everything will get better, and to hold on. I know Billie has a sort of ‘big ego’, but that’s not saying he’s taking people for granted and being cocky all the time. Please, you people need a sense of humor to understand Billie at times. You can’t be butthurt about the way he presents himself sometimes. And as for douchebags, THEY TRY THEIR DAMNEDEST TO GIVE A GREAT FUCKING SHOW FOR THEIR FANS ON EVERY CONCERT. THEY TRY TO MAKE EVERYONE THERE FEEL A PART OF SOMETHING GREAT, AND BILLIE DOESN’T PICK PEOPLE TO GO ON STAGE FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES, HE DOES THAT BECAUSE HE CARES SO MUCH ABOUT HIS FANS THAT HE WANTS THEM TO KNOW THEY ARE FUCKING GREAT. They are not a punk band, they are GREEN DAY and they have earned to not be titled by their genre but by their actual name. 5 Grammys weren’t given to them for no reason.

You wouldn’t understand how those 3 men, though I always include the Jasons because they are a part of this family too, effect each and every one of their fans lives. Not a shitload of bands can go around saying, ‘I actually mean something to someone. Seriously MEAN something important.’ I wouldn’t say that those are bragging rights, but at times you can tell the Billie just knows what he has done to music and to thousands upon thousands of fans.

Gaah. Yes. People are ignorant when it comes to music.

…Seriously? Like this isn’t a joke, someone actually sat down and wrote that? Okay let me lay this out for you, firstly judging a band on how they compose they’re music makes sense, just like judging them on how they performed their music would make sense. Secondly, you say “If you say you hate my favourite band then we have a problem” and expect to be taken seriously? It’s a band, calm the fuck down, it’s not like that was written to you personally just to upset you. Thirdly Green Day is a punk band, not the musical incarnation of Christ, and describing them by their genre is perfectly rational seeing as that’s what a genre is you dingbat, a category of artistic composition  characterised by similarities in style, form or subject matter. Lastly, and this is my favourite stupid line “Not many bands can say that I actually mean something to someone. Seriously MEAN something important”…Yes they can, dozens, hell probably hundreds of bands can claim that with no trouble at all. Just because you found solace in green day doesn’t make them special, just about any band you care to name has statistically speaking, helped someone and means something to someone, somewhere.

Oh yeah, and to miss/mister “People are so ignorant about music”, no, you’re arrogant to assume that because you like something that anyone who doesn’t is “Ignorant”.

In conclusion, I like green day, they have some pretty good music, but I don’t like arrogant, idiotic people who can’t just be calm and rationale about their favourite bands, they’re just musicians people CALM THE FUCK DOWN!
